The viscous oil is dark green to dark brown in colour. Used together with yoghurt the color turns to bright green. Pumpkin seed oil has a nutty taste and is very healthy due to its richness in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Pumpkin seed oil is also low in saturated fats, and has a high zinc content.
Some recipes for external use of Pumpkin Seed Oil:
Pumpkin Seed Massage Oil
For 100 ml pumpkin seed massage oil, mix 50 ml Pumpkin Seed Oil, 30 ml sunflower oil and 20 ml olive oil. Shake well and fill in dark bottles.
Pumpkin Seed Massage Oil with Herbs
Mix 40 ml Pumpkin Seed Oil with 30 ml sunflower oil and 20 ml olive oil. Add 3 drops of rosemary oil, sage oil and tea tree oil, respectively. Stir the mixture and fill in a dark bottle.
